Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 to a musically inclined family in Newark New Jersey is the daughter of the gospel singers Cissy Houston as well as John Russell Houston Jr. She's also the cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. She began singing in the choir of the church she attended The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark in the early years of her childhood and at 15, she had begun singing backing vocals professionally along with the mother of her on Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. Jermaine, her mother and Lou Rawls were some of the performers she performed with. She was also briefly modeling for Seventeen Magazine in 1981. The year 1981 saw her begin singing with the New York-based funk group Material. It was her excellent vocals of this group that attracted the attention of record labels including Arista. Whitney Houston's debut Whitney Houston album was released in 1985. It would become one of the best-selling album by a musician. From the album, she had several smash singles, including Saving All My Love for You How Do You Know You Give Good Love? and The Greater Love of All. This helped her achieve seven US Top Ones consecutively. She beat even the Beatles. The album sold 3 million copies the first year and 25 million globally. Her first six Grammys. The Whitney 1987 album, which included Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as popular songs, was a way to build on the successes she'd had. But the 1992 film The Bodyguard sealed her spot in the top 20 most-sellers of all-time. While her movie performance and its soundtrack were not popular however, her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You and The Bodyguard album that accompanied it topped charts across the world for several months. Their daughter Bobbi was born the month of March of 1993, a year after she wed Bobby Brown. In 1996, her use of drugs was documented.
Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz in the way she's commonly known as, is an American anchorwoman reporter, as well as CNN's political reporter.
