Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on August 9th, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. When she was a little girl, Houston started performing professionally in the church choir. She sang backing vocals for Chaka Khosns 1978 single Im Every Woman with her mother. The singer went on to sing backing vocals for Lou Rawls Jermaine Jackson and her own mother and did a brief stint as models for the cover of Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. Her singing with New York-based group Material have attracted record companies of all sizes, including Arista. They signed her with Arista in 1983 and spent the remainder of her professional career. In 1985, Whitney Houston's first album was the best-selling debut album of all time. The album contained several hit songs such as How Will I Know You Give Good Love, Saving all My Love For you and The Greatest Love of All. It allowed her to achieve seven US chart-topping songs in succession, a feat that beat the Beatles. The album was released in 1987 and sold 25 million copies worldwide. The Whitney album from 1987, that featured songs like The Bodyguard, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to, continued her success. But it came with The Bodyguard of 1992 that was her breakthrough album and made her one of the most successful performers in the history of music. The movie and her role as a character was not popular, however the soundtrack as well as her version of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You were charting for months in the charts, and she sold over 44 million albums and singles worldwide. Their daughter Bobbi is born the month of March in 1993. This was the year she got married to Bobby Brown. Her daily use of drugs was documented.

Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchor and political reporter. She hosted a variety of weekend programs on the network, including Evans & Novak: Late Edition" as well as Inside Politics." She has previously worked for NBC and CBS.
