Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling career in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film performance. It took some time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller role. It was a difficult transition for Amy as she had to move from modelling into performing. Models aren't thought of as great actors and so tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy persevered. She climbed the ladder into bigger roles, beginning in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. She then ventured into the leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition for her work throughout the previous 10 years. Amy went on to appear in major films including the Crank Series with Jason Statham, and Shameless.
